To give you an overview of what the Senate is responsible for and what its responsibilities are, we have summarized the main tasks for you.
- Issuing the curricula for degree programmes and courses
- Issuing and amending the statutes at the suggestion of the Rectorate
- Providing expert opinions in preliminary appeal procedures
- Approving the draft development plan prepared by the Rectorate within two months
- Approving the draft organizational plan adopted by the Rectorate within two months
- Participating in habilitation procedures
- Participating in appointment procedures
- Preparing a three-person proposal for the election of the Rector to the University Council
- Commenting on the Rector's proposals regarding the Vice-Rectors (number, scope of employment and election proposal), (number, scope of employment and election proposal)
- Changing the size of the University Council and electing members of the University Council
- Participation in the dismissal of members of the University Council, the Rector and Vice-Rectors
- Nomination of one female and one male member and substitute member for the Arbitration Commission
- Statement to the Rectorate before the Rectorate assigns persons to the individual organizational units
